i4p (i4p informatics) is a Hungarian cryptography company founded in 2014 and headquartered in Budapest, focused on hardware and software products for high-assurance key protection, electronic signature, and trust services. Its flagship product, Trident HSM, was the first commercially available hardware security module to use secure multi-party computation (MPC), splitting cryptographic keys across distributed nodes so that no single device holds a complete key.
Trident HSM holds Common Criteria EAL4+ certification against both the EN 419221-5 protection profile for cryptographic modules for trust services and the EN 419241-2 profile for server signing, and is listed on the eIDAS Trusted List as a Qualified Signature and Seal Creation Device (QSCD). Alongside the HSM, i4p offers a Signature Activation Module, a timestamp server, and a signature formatting server, combined as Trident RSS, a single-vendor remote signing solution used by QTSPs and governments for qualified signatures, qualified electronic seals, and timestamps.
