Adobe Acrobat Sign is the electronic signature service from Adobe Inc., the San Jose-based company that originated the PDF format and is a member of the Cloud Signature Consortium. The service is used by more than 500,000 organizations globally for sending, signing, and managing agreements on web and mobile, with multi-factor authentication, government ID verification, and a complete audit trail.
Acrobat Sign supports all three eIDAS signature levels (simple, advanced, and qualified) and applies PAdES (ETSI EN 319142) by default in its EU environment, with PKCS#7 as the default in other regions and RSA-PSS available for Germany-specific QES requirements. It integrates with the Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL) and the EU Trusted Lists, accepts certificates from accredited QTSPs across Europe such as Evrotrust, and supports a broad set of secure signature creation devices including smart cards, USB tokens, and mobile authentication apps.
