Evrotrust will contribute to 13 business and payment use cases for the EU Digital Identity Wallet large scale pilots, shaping the future of secure digital identity and data sharing across industries.
Evrotrust is pleased to announce that being part of the WE BUILD Consortium, the Wallet Ecosystem for Business and Payments, we have been selected by the European Commission for the second round of Large Scale Pilots for the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet).WE BUILD is led by the Dutch and Swedish government authorities Ministry of Economic Affairs (Netherlands), KVK (Netherlands) and Bolagsverket (Sweden).
The consortium aims to strengthen the EUDI Wallet ecosystem through a use case-driven approach. The project focuses on business and payment interactions that have a high impact on the digital economy. The 13 pioneering use cases will explore how digital identity wallets can streamline business-to-business (B2B), business-to-government (B2G), and business-to-consumer (B2C) interactions, ensuring trust, security, and efficiency in transactions.
WE BUILD consists of nearly 200 partners, including 13 European business registers, national authorities, and leading private sector organizations, one of which is Evrotrust, the consortium is well-equipped to drive meaningful impact and help define the role of digital identity in various business processes.
Evrotrust is trusted by the Consortium members to bring its expertise in developing the EUDI Wallet ecosystem so that businesses can securely identify themselves, manage power of attorney and signatory rights, and exchange verified data in a way that is efficient and compliant with European regulations. The project will also explore how the EUDI Wallet can benefit financial services, including banking and payment interactions.
Evrotrust is committed to helping organizations automate processes, reduce costs, and enhance security in key areas such as Know Your Customer/Business/Supplier/Employee‘ (‚KYx‘) compliance. By piloting EUDI Wallets in real-world scenarios, we will assess their viability, efficiency, and trustworthiness in the business environments.
The project is set to begin in September 2025 and will run for 24 months. WE BUILD will leverage on the findings of the first round of Large Scale Pilots and move towards a near-production phase, demonstrating how organizations can use digital identity wallets in real-world scenarios.
